Goodrich Corporation's Electro-Optical Systems (EOS) is a
worldwide leader in the design, development, and manufacture of
precision optics and electro-optical systems and sensors for
defense, aerospace, scientific, and commercial applications. We
do the work that explores space, keeps the peace, plots the
heavens and protects our armed forces. Our work is innovative,
challenging, and rewarding. Real science, real hardware, in real
time.
Our two main business segments consist of Sensor Systems and
Optical Systems. The diversity of programs within these two
segments affords our technology teams the ability to constantly
evolve and work on a wide array of projects like the Chandra
X-ray Observatory, Laser Threat Warning for Airborne and Armored
Vehicles, the Hubble Space Telescope Fine Guidance Sensors,
Satellite Attitude Determination Systems, and Earth Resources
Satellite Optics...just to name a few.
Considered a "National Asset" by the U.S government, the
centerpiece of our campus is our half-million square-foot
facility located in Danbury, CT. This integrated design,
development, manufacture and test site is capable of handling a
diverse array of electro-optical products, from microlenses to
spacecraft payloads.
