Goodrich Electro-Optical Systems has been an innovator of materials
and coating technologies since 1950. With over 200,000 optical
assemblies coated and produced to date, Goodrich coating technology
applies to all spectral regions of interest for scientific,
industrial, and aerospace applications:
- High-energy laser beam control systems
- Telescope sensors for ground, airborne and space-based use
- Electro-optical instruments (UV, IR, visible).
The optical coating facilities provide for coating of glass,
quartz, metal and crystal substrates. Representative IR substrates
include ZnS, ZnSe, Ge and Si. Tellurium, metallic tellurides,
alkali, and thallium halides can also be coated.
