Goodrich Optical Systems is a leading supplier and innovator in the design and production of high-precision optical components and subassemblies. The Precision Optics area focuses on the development of advanced optics for ground and space-based applications. Our demonstrated designs include optics that surpass challenging off-axis, aspheric, and lightweight requirements.

Products and applications addressed include actuated lens assemblies for aerial platforms; three mirror anastigmat telescopes for spaceborne earth observing systems; grazing incident optics for x-ray astronomy; high-precision optics for lithography; advanced interferometer systems; large lenses for ground-based telescope corrector groups; advanced windows; optical surfaces with extremely low scatter; and large diameter primary and secondary mirrors.

Our experience covers a broad range of optical materials including glasses, glass ceramics, silicon carbides, silicon, beryllium, zinc selenide and sulfide, calcium fluoride, sapphire, and other advanced materials. Goodrich provides all requisite design, manufacturing, assembly, test, and mission assurance capabilities to reliably produce precision optics.
