The combined capabilities of the Optical Space Systems Division
enables a host of world-class sensor products for applications
ranging from small thermal detectors to sophisticated space
payloads, laser radar sensors, and satellite attitude sensor
products.
Goodrich has participated successfully in many high-profile space
and airborne vehicle programs with sensor products such as the
Fine Guidance System for the Hubble Space Telescope, the
Multi-Thermal Imager (Remote Sensing Payload), and Hyperspectral
Digital Imagery Collection Experiment, to name a few.
Goodrich attitude determination sensors measure the orientation
of a satellite with regard to the star field, earth’s infrared
horizon, or the sun and earth’s magnetic field. Thousands of
Goodrich attitude determination sensors have been employed on a
wide-variety of spacecraft, with a remarkable record of on-orbit
performance and reliability.
Our detector fabrication facilities, awarded the Thermo Nicolet
Strategic Supplier Performance Excellence Award every year for
seven years, produces high-end thermal and photonic IR detectors
for both commercial and space applications.
Unprecedented performance - there are lots of good reasons to
depend on Goodrich.
