Thermal Infrared (IR) detectors operate on the principle that the
sensitive element's temperature is changed by the absorption of
optical energy, which causes some property of the element to
change. These devices are typically used at the longer IR optical
wavelengths, where a broad optical spectral response is desired.
Goodrich supplies several types of thermal IR detectors including
thermistors, thermopiles, and pyroelectrics, for both commercial and
space applications.
A variety of detector configurations are available to meet your
specific performance requirements. Downloadable data sheets
(in .pdf format) for Goodrich standard detector types are available
